Y.Bhg Dato’ (Dr.) Haji Ameer Ali Mydin obtained his Master’s Degree in International Management from the United States. In 1989, he left a budding career in banking toorchestrate the turnaround of his father’s small retail and wholesale business then operating inthe East Coast by opening a store in Kuala Lumpur. Since then, Dato’ (Dr.) Haji Ameer Ali hasevolved MYDIN into a behemoth of 9 hypermarkets, 54 minimarkets, 9 convenience stores, 3bazaars, 18 emporiums and 6 franchise.
