idea for keeping safe

1. I agree, get Firefix
- website that only support IE is not worth visiting.
2. NoScript is great.
3. Use Sandboxie
- Sandbox for questionable program
- best not to run any executable one get from website or email
- but if you have to, use that. no system file will be modified unless specifically authorized.
4. Get TrueCrypt
- put your important confidential file in there
- security is not only about incoming threat, but also the danger of losing confidential info
5. Setup firewall in the ADSL router
6. if you think the link is suspicious, ignore it.

But I agree with post #1, use Linux. I had Ubuntu for 3 years without any virus issue. No issue with any program. IM/web/email/skype/etc

step one, get a unix based machine (any linux distro or a mac). Step two... there is no step two.
