Who doesn't love robots? A lifetime of watching classics like RoboCop, Terminator, or Rosie from the Jetsons have fostered our love and fascination for these mechanical beings that often appear to have two functions: either to save or destroy mankind. Today we have with us a real life robot scientist, Dr. Yeong Che Fai. He is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has a PhD in Bioengineering from Imperial College London. And while he doesn't quite give life to the sentient beings that Hollywood has us associating with the term robots, he has nevertheless built an impressive career in creating robotics that serve a functional purpose.
