This year marks the tenth anniversary of 9/11, a day where the earth seemed to stand still as millions around the world watched New York crumble.
'Current Affairs' speaks with Elina Noor, Assistant Director at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS), who has written extensively on how our world has changed because of this day and the ensuing "war on terror". She was previously at the Brookings Institution's Project on US Relations with the Islamic World.
Elina discusses if the US is safer today from acts of terror and if Islamaphobia is as real today as it was in the days following the attack. She also talks about how the event changed America's diplomatic relations with Muslim nations, as well as the lessons that the world, and Malaysia in particular, has learnt since 9/11.
