President Barrack Obama was scheduled to visit Indonesia this week but had to postpone his trip again to deal with the oil leak issue at the Gulf of Mexico. This is the second time he has postponed a trip to Indonesia. It seems like Asean plays step child to US' relations with China. Professor Simon Tay, the Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, explains the significance of this trip.
