Selangor Water Crisis: A Half-Baked Deal is Not A Deal

The Special Cabinet Committee on the Selangor Water Issue has rejected the Selangor government’s proposed takeover of Syabas, saying that the state government did not comply with the concession agreement. The Committee also dismissed Syabas’ proposal for water rationing in Selangor, KL and Putrajaya, saying that it was unnecessary.Will the state run out of water by 2014 or is the water crisis a ‘manufactured one”, as the state government claims?
