Despite the protests, the Malaysian government is in negotiations for the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement. This agreement has the potential to develop a Pacific-wide duty-free market of 800 million people with a combined GDP of USD27trillion. Alongside Malaysia and Singapore the TPPA could potentially include relatively small markets like Peru, as well as heavy hitters Japan and the USA. In this episode we talk to people who believe that the TPPA is the essential next step and to those who believe it could be disastrous for our economy. Whether or not our nation signs on, the TPPA will have a profound affect on our economy. Listen to this episode of Hear and Now in Malaysia and make-up your own mind.
