David Taylor, Market Commentator at CMC Markets in Sydney, says the Reserve Bank of Australia's decision to hold interest rate unchanged is unexpected but believes it had to be done to deal with uncertainties in the market and economy. He thinks China's monetary tightening was necessary but there will still be economic growth, hence Australia's commodities sector should not be too negatively impacted. The S&P ASX 200 has rebounded since early this month.
