ICT Job Market Outlook 2014: “Are You Paid Enough?”

For the year 2013, it is pertinent to note that the average monthly salary of ICT professionals netted an positive upward trend of 7.2% to RM7,152, rose from RM6,673 in 2012 which is recorded well above the country’s latest gross domestic product. However despite the growth in the ICT job market, PIKOM’s ICT Job Market Outlook 2014 study unveiled an underlying concerning trend which would risk to impact Malaysia’s long and on-going endeavor to grow the to grow the local ICT-skilled knowledge workforce. Cheah Kok Hoong, Chairman of PIKOM explains.
