Kevin Field, principal conductor and mentor for the Malaysia Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO), knows about nurturing a youth orchestra. Sounding like a headmaster, he takes all of the 110 members of the orchestra to a music camp, away from parents, to help them discover their inner professional.
