The Sad State of Orang Asli children and their education

In conjunction with Universal Children's Day, we turned our attention to the Orang Asli children and the difficulties they face with our education system. This minority group has had to harbour discrimination in school due to cultural differences, and deal with a glaring lack of support from local authorities. We discussed the policies that need to be put in place and how we need to walk the talk in helping them.

Note: Shaq Koyok's solo exhibition, "Culture Attack" is on display at G Art Gallery, Gurney Drive in Penang from 9 November 2015 - 31 January 2016. For more information, please visit shaqkoyok.blogspot.com
