Carey Ng

Tonight, we’ve had another woman whose name is synonymous with the words Miss Malaysia, in fact, she is the titleholder for Miss Malaysia 2013 and is now the national director of Miss Universe Malaysia Organization; it’s no other than Carey Ng!

Born in Putrajaya, the now 27 year old, Carey Ng didn’t venture in the in beauty line till the end of her degree studies. During high school, Carey was an active lady where she became a state gymnast and a ballet dancer of the advance degree level. She wanted to be a choreographer but various injuries stopped her from doing so. She channelled all the energy out towards her studies and soon return from the UK with a degree in architecture from University of Nottingham.

As soon as her degree was done, Carey felt restless as she already got her academia done and wanted a new challenge. A beauty pageant spot appeared and she took it as an opportunity to build on her self confidence. One thing lead to another and she was crowned as Miss Malaysia 2013 at by December 2012. Her time during the pageant was a journey of self discovery.

Now, she’s is the national director for Miss Universe Malaysia Organization, following in the footsteps of Andrea Fonseka and Elaine Daly. She has four ladies under her watch as she grooms them to be the finest of who they can be for the world’s stage.

For the record, Carey scored 16!
