Clint Eastwood once said "Crimes against children are the most heinous crime. That, for me, would be a reason for capital punishment because children are innocent and need the guidance of an adult society". Malaysia recently witnessed heinous crimes against children in the past weeks. Headlines focused on the beheading of a toddler to the much publicized gang rape of a minor by 30 men. The Week in Review asks: what causes these violent crimes, how to we prevent it and how does the media frame these issues?
