Some happy news - just last week, two Malaysian Trust Schools were named in the Top 10 shortlists for the new World’s Best School Prizes, which aims to identify, recognise, and celebrate schools’ leading and innovative practices, that have had a real impact on the lives of their students and community. Out of the thousands of schools that applied from around the world, Malaysia's Sekolah Kebangsaan Kempadang, a primary school in Kuantan, was named in the Top 10 shortlist for World’s Best School Prize for Innovation, and SMK Kampong Jawa, a secondary school in Klang, was named in the Top 10 shortlist for the World’s Best School Prize for Overcoming Adversity. In this episode of Curriculum, we explore the concept of Trust Schools, which employs the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) model in education, with Nina Adlan Disney, the Executive Director of LeapEd Services.
