• AGC not appealing ruling on Sabah revenue: The Attorney-General’s Chambers has called it historic and pledged immediate negotiations with the state, though its plan to challenge parts of the judgment has sparked criticism from UPKO and renewed debate over Sabah-first sentiment ahead of elections. We revisit a conversation we had with Ariff Adi Putera, a research associate with the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah).
• 27 refugees die in Andaman Sea: The vessel was part of a larger group of boats carrying refugees fleeing Myanmar. • Taking course to take a loan: From 2027, Malaysians seeking loans above RM100,000 must first complete a 15‑minute financial literacy course by Bank Negara and AKPK, aimed at helping borrowers understand risks, contract terms, and repayment pitfalls. We discuss.
