The stimulus packages rolled out in the last 2 months focused more on SMEs, rather than social enterprises that were helping underprivileged communities in Malaysia. We zoom in on 2 such outfits whose focus has always been on infusing sustainability methods in their work, and offering tenable solutions to help make an impact on the world, and the lives of those who need it most.
Most retail stores are cash-business. Their survivability comes from the sale they make each day and when the MCO took effect, many only had weeks if not days to keep the operations running. Stimulus packages and financial aids were everywhere but it somehow wasn’t impactful enough. We hear how these businesses took the challenge and grew their business in a time of crisis.
Working from home has become a mass reality for the world in the blink of an eye, bringing with it a variety of new challenges that businesses are struggling to grasp. This session dives into the HR processes of growth, evaluation, performance and hiring/firing in a Covid-19 work environment.
The Covid-19 pandemic has unveiled a new group of consumers, as shoppers made the switch to digital shopping almost overnight. On top of that, we also have a younger generation who genuinely cares about how their actions impact the planet. In our first Back to Business virtual series, we identify who this group is, what their purchasing behaviour is, and how to keep your brand top-of-mind amidst this uncertainty.
There’s a running joke in the SME community; Who spearheaded the digital transformation plans in your company? The CEO? The CTO? The CFO? Or Covid-19? It's funny but brutally accurate because the struggles of going online are real, especially now with digital evolution at our doorstep. The call to bridge digital technologies and sustainable practices has never been clearer, and it’s what we’ll be discussing in this session.
