Your body is a universe. In your guts live a rich diverse community of microbes that have a say in your digestion, defense against infection and now, also your odds of developing Type-1 diabetes. A study published in February 2015 showed that changes in our guts’ microbial community are associated with the onset of diabetes. We speak to Dr Alexsandar Kostic, author of the study, to learn more.
