According to the Ministry of Health, one in 625 children have autism. The number of children enrolled in special needs programme also doubled from 2006 to 2013. What is the level of support available to parents of children with autism? From education and healthcare to family strain and societal support, a new policy paper released by the Institute of Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) examines this issue and proposes a few solutions.
