Education Fund for the Kayan and Kenyah Community

The DTOLJ Education Fund initiative is an effort launched by the family of late Datuk Seri Temenggong Oyong Lawai Jau (TOLJ). With an initial target to raise RM130,000, pledges will be rewarded with items crafted or performed by the Kenyah and Kayan people from Sarawak. The profits will go towards the setting up of an education fund for the children of the community. Margaret Nawan, who is the granddaughter of Datuk Seri Temenggong Oyong Lawai Jau, explains why this initiative is needed as well as the unique Kenyah and Kayan culture.
