Earth is taking longer to complete a single rotation. A team of British scientists recently found that the average day has lost 1.8 milliseconds over the past century, which adds up to about seven hours over the past 2,000 years. How does this affect us and our relationship to time? Professor Dr. Ing. Ir Renuganth Varatharajoo FASc, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry & Community Relations) at Universiti Putra Malaysia, explains.
