The United Nations estimates that 80% of people living with autism are not in the workforce. The Economist describes this wasted human potential as a tragic human toll. Dr Hajah Wasitah binti Haji Mohd Yusof, Director-General of the Youth Skills Development Division at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Feilini Feisol, who leads the National Autism Society of Malaysia, explain how Malaysia can play its part by making technical and vocational education and training (TVET) accessible to individuals with autism.
