在过去一星期的农历新年佳节期间，连续性豪雨让西马半岛东部的彭亨州、南部的柔佛州、东马半岛的沙巴州和砂拉越州，总共四个州属都遭遇了大洪水。甚至跟国内四个受灾州属相隔七、八千公里的太平洋岛国纽西兰最大城市奥克兰（Auckland）也同病相怜。虽然在华人传统的认知里水代表着「财富」的象征，但是连续性豪雨所引发的天灾又何尝不是给人类的一种警示呢？
