Gaming has evolved over the past few decades and gone from having a small following of computer nerds to drawing over 2.7 billion players in 2020. Major publishers like Tencent and Sony Interactive are earning in the billions, announcing major consolidations like the recent Bungie takeover and Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. 

But are all gamers the same? And where is all that money coming from in gaming advertising?
