In order to achieve that, the focus, among many, has almost always been on the adoption of new technologies. However, as technology advances and organisations embrace them, there is a tendency to end up with uniformity within the same industry. In other words, the uniqueness of a particular organisation – that which gives it its true competitive advantage, may no longer be found.
