Durian Adventures

In 1869 the British explorer Alfred Russel Wallace wrote that to eat Durian is a new sensation, worth a voyage to the East. In 2012, one American couple heeded that call. They embarked on a year long adventure across South-east Asia, traversing 13 countries in search of the ultimate durian-eating experience, documenting their travels in what may be considered the ultimate traveler's-guide to durian tasting across the Southeast Asia; a blog called Year of the Durian, as well as an E- book titled The Durian Tourist’s Guide to Thailand. We managed to catch primary writer and chief durian enthusiast Lindsay Gasik, who brought with her blogger Huai Bin from Sixth Seal, when she was in Malaysia for a durian eating forage recently.
