When Malaysians talk about Raya, we often talk about the most common Raya themes - children going balik kampung, family reuniting, ketupat and rendang, maaf zahir batin, and open house. But today we'd like to steer our Raya wheel a little bit and think about OTHER Raya narratives. The narratives of Raya that we don’t often hear about. What Raya is like across cultures?

Trainee Producer Rahmah Pauzi spoke to a few people from various backgrounds to find out how their Raya story differs from the mainstream Malaysian Raya stories. Some of them are newlyweds, new converts, internationals, and a few other non-Malaysians who have been calling Malaysia home. What do they look forward to this Raya?
