Curator Jo-Lene Ong's recent project, which focused on the role of British PR and information campaigns during the Malayan Emergency, was inspired by her desire to unearth her own family's history during the period. We speak to her about the project, the value of personal histories in telling the different stories of a nation, and why access to these stories is important. We also asked our listeners for their own experiences in researching their family history.
