A study by recruitment firm Randstad stated that a third of Malaysians aged 18 to 24 would rather be desk-bound than work out of the office via telecommuting. Even though millennials are well known around the world for prioritizing work-life balance when looking for a job. And according to Rndstad Malaysia's director Ryan Carroll, "the preference for a more traditional workplace could stem from the weak Malaysian economic outlook that has millennials more concerned about securing and retaining a job rather than worrying about benefits such as flexible work schedules”.
