According to the World Health Organisation, more than a quarter of all global deaths of children under the age of five are caused by unhealthy environmental conditions.
This was revealed in its report, “Inheriting a Sustainable World: Atlas on Children’s Health and the Environment”, which aims to analyse the risk factors that are harming children's health by looking at their living conditions.
