Singapore’s key benchmark index, the Straits Times Index, is one of the region's top performers year-to-date in 2021 with a year-to-date return of just under 11%, only surpassed by Korea and Australia. Japan lags behind, up only 1.2%, while Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Shanghai are in the red year-to-date
