Government Databases for Sale?

It was reported that the National Registration Department has allegedly leaked records containing information of 22 million Malaysians such as their full name, IC, and mobile numbers. Similarly, it was also reported that the Election Commission has a potential data breach involving the personal data of 800,000 Malaysians of electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) images of people taking selfies while holding their IC.
