• Thousands unregistered for Selangor death benefit scheme: The Khairat Dahrul Ehsan, or KDE scheme offers cash assistance to help next-of-kin upon the passing of a family member. However, many were deterred as they had to re-register under a brand new system. • Woman being investigated for making false sexual assault claim: According to the police, the 25-year-old allegedly made the story up against her e-hailing driver after she had been scolded by her family for coming home late. • Road closures due to flash floods: This follows the spate of bad weather we've been experiencing since last weekend. Yesterday, the Shah Alam city council announced several road closures which resulted in severe congestion. Hafiz Amirrol, Deputy Executive Director of MERCY Malaysia joins us to break down the impact of this bad weather and evaluate whether local councils are sufficiently prepared for emergencies.
