More Fragmentation, Further Localisation and Deeper Cold Wars - Global Trade in a Post-COVID-19 World

Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, global trade was already fragmenting courtesy of the US-China trade war.

Businesses were struggling with unpredictable tariffs and market volatility, and now contend with a pandemic that has forced countries to lockdown, ban travel, shut down manufacturing and is said to have caused the biggest drop in consumer demand since the second World War.

So how will a post Covid-19 world look for global trade and the global supply chain? Roshan Kanesan discusses with Alexander Capri.
