Jessica Curry and Stewart Winter, two composers, from either side of the Atlantic. The classically trained composer Jessica Curry has broken new ground with the hugely successful indie game “Dear Esther”. In a world saturated by noise and stimulation, her score allows the player room to breathe and to dream all on their own. Stewart Winter is a music-making machine who absorbs and emulates every new genre as he creates commercial production music for major networks in the US. While they may come from opposite ends of a continuum, both deal with music as a tool for effective communication and grapple with the continuing challenge to illicit an emotional response whilst avoiding the pitfalls of dramatic cliches.
