Engineering Minimalist Fashion

Jiuan Ng is an upcoming designer with so much under her belt already. The computer engineer-turned fashion designer owns two labels: JN by Jiuan Ng, where she creates her own unexpected twists on minimalist fashion, and Jiuan Ng The Label, her evening wear label that debuted at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2017. This week she sits down with us to talk about her journey as a fashion designer thus far as well as her first experience at KL Fashion Week. Later, Emma Chong-Johnston breaks down linen; the under-appreciated fabric that is perfect for Malaysian weather.
