Designing A Wearable Delicacy

In light of all the news surrounding the many different appropriations of the nasi lemak dish this year, you’d think that nothing else nasi lemak related would surprise us Malaysians. That’s where local designer Brian Khoo decided to prove us wrong. After making headlines on an international scale, he stories us on the meticulous creative process behind the notorious Nasi Lemak Dress that Samantha Katie James will don for the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas. Brian also takes us through the challenges of designing for one of the most iconic beauty pageants in the world. After that, Florence Song of ELLE Malaysia talks about a trend that walks on the wild side: sculpted heels.
