Schools across Malaysia will reopen in stages, starting from 3rd October and based on individual states’ phases in the National Recovery Plan. But with the Delta variant causing high community transmission of COVID-19, what is the safest way to get children back to schools? We speak to senior consultant paediatrician Dato’ Dr Amar-Singh HSS, and secondary school teacher Anny, to discuss issues that concern parents, including how Delta affects children, whether they should be vaccinated, and what safety measures should be implemented in schools.
