Doctor in the House: How Malaysia Eliminated Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV/Syphilis

Dr George Lee returns to discuss the latest medical news. On Monday, 8th October, Malaysia became the first country in the WHO Western Pacific region to be validated as having eliminated mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis. This makes Malaysia only the 12th country globally to receive this validation from the World Health Organization. Dr Anita Suleiman, Head of Sector (HIV/STI/Hepatitis C), Ministry of Health, joins Dr George Lee to share how Malaysia did it.
