The Truth About Vaccinations

Dr. Helena Lim, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist | Dr. Khoo Boo Aik, Consultant Pediatrician

13-Sep-12 16:00

The memory of going to the pediatrician and getting our jabs every few months or weeks is something most of us will remember, albeit with not much fondness. However, those jabs were serving an important function, keeping us safe from measles, polio, and a whole host of other illnesses that our bodies may not have overcome on their own.

Despite all that though, some groups continue to be anti-vaccinationists, campaigning against their use in public health and blaming them for conditions such as autism. So what are the real truths behind vaccination? We ask Dr. Helena Lim, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and Dr. Khoo Boo Aik, consultant pediatrician.
