In 2012, a group of lawyers, dissatisfied with the rising crime rates in Malaysia, got together and organized a Safer Malaysia campaign. They consulted criminologists and safety professionals and put together a module on crime prevention. It formed the basis of forums and workshops they organized in schools, colleges and resident associations across Malaysia. Here to share the ideals of Safer Malaysia are Richard Wee and Darren Lai, both are co-chairman of the Safer Malaysia campaign.
