Imagine a four-foot-long bird with a solid casque, naked neck, striped tail feathers, and crazed song that sounds like a spirit mocking you. That sums up the helmeted hornbill, a species that may soon go extinct, as it is now listed as critically endangered. We find out more about this fascinating bird, and the threats to its existence.
