Is Kuala Lumpur Ready to Be The World Book Capital?

Out and about in KL, or on your way to work in the city? You could stop by a book kiosk to get a free book. These book kiosks were installed by KL City Hall this year, as part of the Kuala Lumpur World Book Capital 2020 campaign. However, a number of the kiosks have already been vandalised and damaged – which leads us to ask: with attitudes like these, are Malaysians ready to become a reading society?
