This was proven with them claiming responsibility for the deaths of 129 people in Paris last Friday. Previously, mainstream media have been quick to brand gunmen who practise a certain faith as terrorists. But when the gunman does not fit a certain profile, labels like ‘mentally ill’ comes to light, such as the Charleston Church gunman who shot nine people in June.
