Stewart Slater, CIO at GS Wealth, says the more political pressure US puts on the Chinese government to revalue the Yuan, the more the Chinese will resist. He does not expect the Chinese to revalue the currency in the immediate term especially now that China has recorded its first trade deficit in March. If China revalues its currency, regional currencies like the Korean Won, Ringgit and Singapore dollar will rise as well.
