‘Throne of Thorns’ was recently staged in ASWARA, the national performing arts school, but with a cast and production crew coming from the University of Wollongong, Australia. We find out from the director herself, who now teaches theatre at UiTM, on her process of creating this work, which has been described as a modern play with practices and elements of the Malay traditional theatre.
