"Did you grow up reading any Malaysian children's books? No? That's why the Calistro Prize matters!"
The Calistro Prize is an annual Malaysian competition for Malaysian writers of children’s stories. Established by Dr David Kirkham, the founder and director of Calistro Consultants, the Prize aims to "encourage and celebrate the creation of Malaysian stories by Malaysians for Malaysian children and teenagers".
Daphne Lee, a member of the organizing committee, tells us more.
