Through her love for turtles and terrapins, Dr Chen Pelf Nyok started the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS), the first not-for-profit organisation in Malaysia, dedicated to restoring depleted wild turtle populations in the country. She aims to change the tide in favor of the turtles through research, conservation, rehabilitation, education, and public outreach.
