OBSCURA Festival of Photography 2013 is the first international photography festival in Malaysia. The festival celebrates our Asian identity in an increasingly globalised world. The inaugural OBSCURA Festival plays host to the works of 11 world-renowned photographers, 6 curated slideshows and a series of photography talks by some of the world’s most prominent photographers and curators.

The objective of the festival is multifold. The festival’s main aim is to promote education, exchange and culture. Therefore much of the festival’s activities revolve around these aspects through workshops, exhibitions, dialogue, sharing, knowledge and skill exchange.
