Retail Therapy for MREITs

Marie Suwrna Vaz, Analyst at Kenanga Research discusses the outlook for Pavillion REIT and KLCC Stapled Group.

Next year will be a major year for Pavillion Reit as almost 70% of its leases up are for renewal. The emergence of Tan Sri Desmond Lim as a major shareholder of WCT Holdings could also see potential synergies and future asset injections of WCT Malls into PavREIT.

Meanwhile, a placement issue by KLCC Stapled Group could potentially raise up to RM1.4 billion, allowing for future acquisitions, e.g. the rest of Suria KLCC and Traders Hotel.
