A Hero Too Nice To Be King

With our eclectic mix of topics this week we look at heroic characters portrayed as conflicted leaders, education as storytelling, and the psychological appeal of guns. Kam explores the idea of the modern 'nice guy' superhero in movies such as Black Panther, and its break away from the conventional mould for the part. Na'a shares his thoughts on teaching being an act of storytelling, where to impart knowledge effectively is to perform it. Lastly, Uma puts forth the idea that we all share a universal fascination with guns, and it may not necessarily be the export of American media.
